There’s a deleted scene I really like, where Mikey brings home a piece of birthday cake from his job for Splinter and Donnie takes it and throws it in the freezer, because of Splinter’s cholesterol, and while Donnie’s back is turned Mikey sneaks Splinter another piece of cake and says “this one’s got a flower on it”.

I was actually thinking about this earlier today while rewatching the movie. Sad we didn't get this as the final cut but it's no big deal tbh. Still a great movie but sad the sequels got cancelled because we're supposed to get two more movies but it didn't happen because

1. The animation studio got bankrupt after the release of Astro Boy

2. Nickelodeon buying TMNT in 2009

was there also a deleted scene on bonus feature where Splinter told the origin story showing the flashback how they got mutated since it wasn't shown.
