I'm a student studying computer science engineering at the University and every time I'm asked what I want to be in life, I Usually say "data scientist". Honestly that wasn't the career I had in mind while entering the university. In fact, I didn't know which career I should persue. It's only after my first year ended, that I realized how much I love Maths and statistics. And upon investigation in career fields that combine both maths and computer science, I found data science and I decided to give it a trial. I equally love learning and I manage to code though I'm not that good at it😅
Just to say that I would really love to be a data scientist 😃

Please the following questions..Thank for the channel:

1) Can a data scientist be self employed?

2) What type of industries does a data scientist work in? Only banks and only big companies? Dso you think a small family owneds company would ever need a data scientist?

Thank you.

Thank you for this video. Right now i'm in my last year of Digital Marketing for my bachelor's degree, which i follow in Amsterdam. I also followed a Minor in Marketing Data Analytics, which can be a bridge towards a 1 year Master for Digital Driven Business (meaning Data science, analysis, consultant or manager). I plan on taking on this Master and testing myself. I like learning about new tech and advancements, i like a flexible lifestyle, and ofcourse good pay haha (who wouldn't love that).

As an ML graduate can you tell me the difference between working as a Data Scientist and Machine learning engineer? I see that you guys too create ML models but then what does ML engineer do? Specialize in just creating models?

as a teenager i want to become a data scientist cuz its interesting and ngl the money too but idk about continously learning although the school i go to is known for giving loads of work so idk if it will be too hard+ doing the same thing year after year can get really boring and testing new things all the time is interesting but im not the biggest math fan although i really like coding but i have social anxiety so i have to become an active speaker although im good at speeches so only time will tell

Is it worth getting your Bachelors in data science? Or do a 1 year course, and try to get experience on my resume saving ~2 years of schooling

Do you create your own machine learning models or you use already existing ones... Is creating customized models easy ?? How to start it ??

Should be said that there is still no clear defintion of Data Science yet. It might vary from job to job and field to field.
Nevertheless this might be interesting seeing ONE EXAMPLE. I think it will become more and more important to differentiate more in future than just trying to put "everything with data" under the super umbrella term Data Science...

Do u think it’s work time flexible ? My friend working in programming field, he often have very, very flexible hours like before noon he can wrap up the stuff if he’s efficient, or maybe a short meeting after lunch. And only needs to go into office for events and such, but of course there were at times he need to work back2back shifts to rush for project deadlines or more than 16 hours . I wonder if in terms of flexibility will data analyst be like that or it’s more like a full time 9-5 work thing

Hi! I've been working in finance and banking for the last 23 years, now I'm 45y old and intend to switch to data science by doing a MS, it seems that I possess some key skills that are transferable for data science. What would you recommend to me considering my age and past experience?

What coding do you usually do? Python, SQL, or R? Also do you use any data visualization tools to create charts?

Thank you for your video. I work with State Farm and majority of positions I see needing to be filled are Analyst roles. I have been thinking of transitioning into tech for some time and can see how data heavy insurance is, let alone at the largest insurer in the U.S.
