Steak with Peppercorn Sauce - Make it for Date Night!

Welcome to our MAKE IT series where we are kicking things off with a Date night recipe!
Everyone needs a good date night recipe to pull out and impress, and spoil that special someone in their lives so if they are like me, they will love a steak with peppercorn sauce.
Forget buying those bland sauces, making your own sauce from scratch shows dedication, love and passion because today we're turning up the heat. Impress your date with flambé skills, or get them excited with the spice and heat of the peppercorns.
In this video, I’ll show you how to cook the perfect rib-eye steak to a medium rare and make a modern peppercorn sauce from scratch.
You’ll need the following ingredients:
- Steak (I used an Aberdeen Angus Ribeye, but you can also use lamb, and pork)
- Thyme (optional - my garden patch was all out today)
- Garlic
- Butter
For the sauce:
- Peppercorns
- Shallots
- Garlic
- Beef jus or stock
- Double/heavy pouring cream
