In this tutorial, I will show you how to reset the oil life light on a Honda Civic back to 100%. I will show you 2 methods to reset the oil life including resetting on the center console display audio screen and resetting on the dashboard information display. This video was filmed on a 2016 Honda Civic EX however the process should be very similar if not the same on other years of the Honda Civic including the 2017 Civic, 2018 Civic, 2019 Civic 2020 Civic & 2021 Civic. It will also be similar in other trim levels such as LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and Touring.

I have a 2017 Civic Sport hatchback. It has the same non- touchscreen system as a base Civic. This process doesn't even RESEMBLE how to do it for those - which is what I'm trying to find.

Hi Ken, I am hoping you can help me and others who have experienced this issue. I had my oil changed a few days ago and I have reset my oil life indicator probably 5-6 times both ways that you show on your video but for some reason my oil life display on my dashboard will not go away. It continues to show oil life 100% all the time. I don't know how to reset the display or remove the oil life display. It is very annoying. I have a 2017 Honda Civic. Any help is much appreciated.
