How to Reset Oil Life 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014-2017

Steps on how to reset your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1. Turn on vehicle without having foot on brake
2. On the directional pad on the steering wheel, cycle through until you see the oil life
3. Hold down on ok
4. Your oil life will be reset!

FYI on my 2014 the procedure was to put the engine to Run without starting (press start button twice without foot on the brake), then put gas pedal to floor 3 times within 5 seconds.

Quick tip if this doesn’t work for anyone, turn car off all the way then put it in run without engine running then press gas pedal 3 times all the way to floor within 5 seconds then turn car off and back again

Press start 2x then scroll to Oil Life. Press accelerator pedal 3x. Voila on 2014 Summit 5.7L

Ok, no….Turn on the car, (2-clicks) keep your foot off the brake, don’t start, then push the gas pedal three times quickly. Should reset😮

Make sure the ignition is in the Run position. I had to push mine three times to get it there.

My 2014 isn't this way, the only thing different was I had to get to the oil life screen, and pump the accelerator 3 times and then it cleared.

Now how do you get that off the screen?

That way does not apply to a 2014 Jeep GC. You have to make sure the door is close. turn on the vehicle without pressing the brake than you press the gas pedal three time. The Oil life will update.

I use Lucas 1 qt and adv castor oil synthetic won't give me option to reset

My 2016 does not have this. I just got it and I have a screen that says service and it shows 0. I do not see no screen that has the little oil spout and 0-100% screen. Have all the other screens like trans temp, battery, etc but no oil, just a service 0 miles screen

My 2015 grand Cherokee eco diesel does not have this. There’s no “hold OK to reset” and it doesn’t reset if I hold OK
