so much performance bonus just from the RGB, they really got their priorities straight.

You are hands down the best YouTuber when it comes to gaming laptops. You are 10x better than anyone else. You go in-depth and you are knowledgeable. I don’t understand why do you not have over 1 million subscribers.

Owned one for about 2 months now, 12900hk + 3080ti. Out of the box with stock settings, it thermal throttles alot and performance is pretty good but with some undervolting this thing is a beast.

This laptop launched in my country about half a year ago, I was dying for a review form Jarrod, finally <3

Also kinda happy to see that you can get better performance for cheaper

I bought x17 R1 (11th Gen) last year
and have been using it for over a year now. I would say, the review is accurate. The x17 is thin but not really portable anyway, because it's still very large, chonky, and heavy. The performance is just okay (for its class and price). The 4-fan design doesn't really help much, you can get the same result from 2 larger fans with good Fin, Pipes, and/or Vapor Chamber.

It definitely has flaws, but it's not a bad laptop.
For most people, Lenovo Legion, Asus, MSI, might be a better pick (for price and performance). Get this Alienware if you like its unique look, design, and premium quality. I love it a lot. Also, RTX 3080 Ti Laptop is not really worth in general (for other laptops too), 3070 Ti is the best deal.

I got a R15 I7, 3060, DDR 5 model and I've had a pleasant experience with it so far after 2 months

I bought the Asus Rog Strix Scar i9 12th gen 3070 Ti after I saw the 3070 ti vs 3080 ti video you made, and it runs everything on high settings, I love it!

the fact that you can use any USB C charger, including just a wall USB or power bank (might charge slow, but will charge over night, for example) makes it truly unique among these laptops

A 17 inch gaming laptop without a numerical pad... I know not a lot of games use numpad these days but it's still something they should have included.

2:26 Jarrod jumped into a time machine and appeared on a webcam from Year 2000.

It looks nice, the white outside together with all Blue RGB give a perfect " Portal"- design. To me a 17inch machine was to big. A 15 inch machine plus its massive powerbrick is all I can carry around in my bag. As a G67HX owner the performance numbers of this x17 dont quite match, also the flipped coooling solution traps is unique to other laptops that have most components on one side of the motherboard...

Jarrod would you considering featuring more AMD advantage laptops like the m17 r5?

If you use throttlestop to lower cpu voltage you can easily get 18500+ on cinebench r23 without using any cpu OC profile.

Was able to get 19, 200 multicore in Cinebench with the 12900HK after an undervolt. I'm pretty happy with that score!

Would love to see this up against the G77 in a video

It's getting increasingly difficult to get excited by curent gen laptops when we are getting new CPUs and GPUs from all the big three.

I'm an MSI fan boy. Got a 4 year old Titan with a GTX 1070 and it still rocks.

Had this laptop for a while and love it. But when its dark and the ring light is on you cannot see any of the ports at all ! I also upgraded the cooling for the SSD, s as they can get a bit toasty. But I am finding im getting better results in games with my unit. May have just got lucky with the silicon.
