Caffeine is the most widely used stimulant in the world. It is undoubtedly an effective stimulant for many, boasting clear improvements across the scientific literature in areas like cognitive performance, alertness, well-being, and yes, even exercise performance.

But as great as it may be, people's experiences with caffeine are hardly similar. Some see all the amazing benefits while other might actually feel worse with caffeine. And many, especially those consuming three grande machiattos daily the past several years, will likely see no effect from it whatsoever.

Outside of tolerance, there is likely another big factor that plays a role in the differences in effect with caffeine consumption we observe between individuals. And it might have something to do with genetics.

Truly grateful to have you man, when I first started fitness I did not know where to go and then my friend suggested me to watch your videos as well as one other channel (GravityTransformation) both these channels have helped me soo much that if I did not know about the existence of these channels I wouldn’t have been able to come this far away. Maybe you can’t see this but truly know that your channel has helped me a lot as well as other masculine monsters.

We will create another generation where high T people remain and rule the world.

For me it’s quite the opposite, I feel the effect but even if I drink it early in the morning I still won’t be able
to sleep well into the night.

I did a personal genomics test on myself just this semester on the CYP1A2 gene! I was indeed a homozygous AA gene! Really amazing how cool these genes affect our metabolism of caffeine!

Caffeine has near 0 effects for me, but I still drink coffee and energy drinks :D

Well, it pumps you with cortisol, makes you feel less tired and activates the dopamine receptors in the brain - ofc it helps people perform better! But it works best if you use it once a week or when you really need it.

This is why I drink fancy lattes, they have carbs, protein, a little bit of fat and caffeine. It definitely works for me. It has a third less caffeine than straight black. I’m pretty sure I have the AA variety.

Well that explains why it never worked on me, even energetic drinks. I drank 2 before a test and still fell asleep.

There were times when I drank 2 energy drinks a day (+ another 2 on my 12hr night shifts). After my second heart arrest my doctor told me to stop. 🥺
So yeah, it sucked for me..
