Competition for places is why we saw a good performance by Jackson today. Him seeing Nkunku come on for him in the last game and score made him know he has to perform the next game to continue to keep his place.

Sanchez looks confident. The penalty save from last week looks to be the turning point for him.

Palmer didn't get an assist today Goerge. First was Sancho, 2nd Caicedo, 3rd was Jackson.

Caicedo's a generational player, worth every penny, as important a signing as Palmer, and our best passing midfielder.

1 - Moi is becoming the player we envisioned. Bossed the midfield today
2 - Cole Palmer is going to avg 15 g/a each season he plays for Chelsea
3 - The competition within the squad will only make us better going forward. Especially once the likes of Reece, Malo, eLavia return
4 - Colwell is slowly becoming a rock solid top flight CB
5 - The coach has developed a philosophy that suits the players he has and the mentality has greatly improved. The levels of focus is great to see.
6 - Continue to remind the haters who we are, and what we’ve done and what we will inevitably do again for years to come. That is win 🏆

**First Half Analysis:**

1. Jackson had no passing options, took the shot, and scored.
2. Sancho quickly released the ball to Jackson, making good decisions.
3. Cucurella's understanding of his multiple roles is underrated. His defending and movement were excellent, providing passing options.
4. Jackson is just relentless.
5. Fofana's defending was lazy, and he didn't provide options for the goalkeeper, limiting our outlet passes on the right. He also nearly gave away an unnecessary penalty.

**Second Half Analysis:**

1. Madueke should not have taken the shot in the 60th minute; he's often too selfish.
2. Chelsea needs to learn how to finish games and ruthlessly punish teams, so the next opponent is intimidated. That's what City does to teams.
3. Great substitutions by the coach. Madueke's defensive contributions on the right were impressive, but he needs to improve his goal contributions.
4. Tosin might be a better partner for Levi.
5. Sanchez’s distribution and confidence have been crucial and will continue to be key moving forward.

**Conclusion:**

1. When Fernández and Caicedo click, we're unstoppable.
2. Cucurella should be kept fit at all costs; we would struggle without him.
3. Sancho isn't a full-match player or needs to work on his fitness.
4. Fofana should spend some time on the bench to realize he needs to step up his game.
5. Madueke should be encouraged to focus on getting more assists rather than scoring goals.

Great game. I was actually pleased that Maresca took off Cole Palmer towards end of the game as Cole was getting kicked all over the pitch and I was concerned that he would get injured.
