Actually the scar from protecting his sibling is a lie his parents told him because if you go back to the episode when he first used Hinokami kagura during the flashback as a child when they were still the only ones born he already had the mark

It's still crazy to me how ONE person who wasn't even a demon almost killed muzan and also gave him a deadly mental attack that keeps "attacking" muzan every time he sees those earings and mark..
Those PTSD are probably the Mostz horrifying type of PTSD someone could have..demon or not

You know I just realized something after rewatching the latest episode. When Tanjiro first meets the sword maker he references both his hair and eyes and calls him a child of the sun. As far as the eyes, I always thought Yorichi was the only one who had a similar set but I was wrong, there is one other - Rengoku's Mother. I am serious, she has the same eye color and shape and is the only one other than Yorichi to have it. Makes me wonder if Tanjiro, Rengoku's Mother and ultimately Rengoku's/his siblings are distant relatives.

Yorichi terrified muzan to the point of making the guy openly avoid the tanjiro in their first encounter when he see tanjiro earrings he immediately thought tanjiro is a sun breather.. if he's just kill tanjiro as normal muzan wouldn't have to fight tanjiro later when he gets more time to train and get more power.. he's always hiding behind his underling demons and send them to kill tanjiro but then they're literally material for tanjiro to train, making his unavoidable end come in the last arc

I love Tanjiro's imperfection as a successor to Sun Breathing. He is not a chosen one--he couldn't master Sun Breathing, he wasn't born with his forehead mark, and he's not gifted like Yoriichi and has to rely heavily on others. BUT, Tanjiro is a good person and hard working. His positive traits and his family's connection to Sun Breathing makes him GOOD ENOUGH to break the cycle of demons.

knowing ufotable, i know for a fact they will perfectly adapt the ending. just imagine the emotions. every hashira is screaming while tearing up, holding muzan long enough til the sun kills him while he himself screaming as a huge baby. just imagine the voice acting and the score of that scene.

I find this really amazing the fact Tanjiro says to Akaza “I will cut off your head now” just like what Yoriichi said to Kokushibo 300 years ago “here I come”

It’s such a good Manga, one of my favourite stories. I’m so glad they’re doing more stories now with the new volume “Stories of Water & Flame”, it’s not written by Koyoharu but it looks & feels the same with the art being nearly identical.

Just a quick note: Tanjiro mentions that his mark was caused by being burned by boiling water, and I have just noticed that his father had the same mark in the same location. But it cannot be a coincidence that they both had been burned in the same spot.

Great video AnimeUproar!. I just also wanted to add that Tanjiro was able to turn back to normal because he bit Nezuko who was already healed in a sense and was fully back to human. With her turning back into a human her body was able to produce the anti-bodies to prevent her from turning into a demon. When Tanjiro bit her he was also consuming those anti-bodies and that helped with his healing process.

Another similarity between Yoriichi and Tanjiro! [ Kinda my own thought ]

When yoriichi was young, he beat the crap outta swordsman who were strong and here our young kamado is beating the crap outta DEMONS, especially moons! Just can't imagine how strong would Tanjiro be when he'd be the same as age Yoriichi when he wrecked Muzan.

SUCH a shame tanjiro didnt meet kokushibo.. the dialogue alone wouldve been so interesting.. especially when kokushibo saw tanjiros mark and him using sun breathing

I think the idea behind Tanjiro not being born with the mark is that he isn't the chosen one, he's a hero made through many painful experiences and only came about due to his pure hearted soul which is what truly links him to Yorichi (especially since there's no blood relation between them).

Yoricho didn't really passed down his breathing, it was just a request from tanjiro's ancestor to show them his sword style so that they will remember him despite everyone abandoning yorichi
