On this video I want to talk about Citrine and show you how to recognize if your Citrine is real or fake. 95% of the “Citrine” on the market is not real Citrine but baked Amethyst.

On this video we will explore how Amethyst is turned into Citrine. What natural Citrine color really looks like and how to recognize real from fake.

I cannot believe all these years I've been buying crystals, that my citrine clusters are really amethyst 😫...I can get over that, what's very frustrating, is all the big natural citrine points on ebay are all heated (The HUGE crystal Dealers on ebay admit this). I'm having a hard time even finding smoky quartz that hasn't been heat treated currently.

I saw yellow citrine more on online.. and claim it's high grade Citrine

The single terminated group on the top left corner of the table looks alot like the tumbled plate full that you said is genuine citrine.
Authentic Citrine is so valuable, no dealer/ manufacturer would tumble it. It has more value in it's raw shape than as a tumbled stone.

I would find it very helpful if you could explain the difference between the baked amethyst points you have in the upper left corner of the table next to the baked clusters. I find it hard to see the difference between the commercial points versus the ones you have lying on their sides on the table that are actual Citrine. Can you please explain what the difference is and how to identify a baked amethyst Citrine point versus an actual 100% genuine Citrine point?

Are all faceted citrine beads heated amethyst? Then, I bought 1 and charged for the experience. Gladly, I bought citrine which came from Congo. Lesson learned. 😁
