Hi Friends!
Welcome back to another video!
Today's video is a little different! Today I will be discussing how to spot FAKE CRYSTALS!
There will be 2 parts to this video! In part one we will cover Clear Quartz, Moldavite, & Larmiar! And in Part two we will cover Malachite, Citrine, and Turquoise.
Make sure to watch the video all the way through so you don't miss these important tips so you don't end up wasting your money!

Here is a video on the white turquoise - it truly isn't turquoise scientifically so thats why I state in the video there is no such thing as white turquoise!

Also, citrine is fluorescent. So another good way to tell if you have citrine is place it under a black light and it should glow a green. Pretty awesome. Fake "citrine" or heated amethyst will not be fluorescent.

Instead of using a flame directly too a possibly fake stone u could heat a needle and touch it to the stone. If it’s fake u should see burning or melting. Learned that on another video about finding fake turquoise

I buy antique and vintage jewellery with various stones or crystals. It drives me to distraction not knowing if a stone is real or glass. Plastic is easy - I do the burn test. But crystal vs glass is difficult to tell apart. Great video.

I have been on the hunt for real citrine! The one piece I got I found out it’s heated amethyst well after I bought it. Thank you so much for this informative video! Love your vibes!

I’m sad. I just purchased a few citrine and malachite and after watching this video, I’m convinced they are fake. 😔 any recommendations on where to buy them?

Wow, now I'm really thankful I found this vid. I'm a rock hound by nature and I like to go to shows. I ended up buying what I thought was citrine with the assumption: "Citrine is just quartz, so if it looks quartz, I'm good."

Boy am I so wrong. Thanks for the help!

This is so helpful. I’ve been watching crystal auctions from China on TT & could not tell what was what. Gonna watch all of these videos, TY.

Hi from Portugal! Honestly just want to say thank you.
i buyed some Malachite. when came home and saw your video realise the stone was actually super fake.

Next day in the morning I returned the stones and I was nice because maybe the supplier cheated the store. But the ladies from the shop treated me so badly and were so arrogant. At least I already know where not to buy. ;)

Today I learned that my citrine is actually a heated amethyst, good to know, now I can find a real one and know how to, thank you ❤

I really appreciate these videos and the amount of time you took researching to be able to aggregate this for us.

It would be super useful if you could leave pictures on the screen for longer. I appreciate your eye for detail and need time to train my eyes to see what you see!

Thank you so much on the information about Citrine, I have two pieces with white roots at the bottoms and I don’t know that I was purchasing fakes, so lesson learned, now I know thank you again

Omg thank you, I thought my citrine is fake because the colour is super light and not as orangey like those being sold online.. now that I know it might be genuine. Thank you.
