This should be a mandatory movie for every student of primary school. This alone would make our world a better place.

I was in a miserable mood today, so I decided to use the strongest antidote against petty anger and superficial worries : the soothing voice and the wisdom of Carl Sagan. Always works. Thank you, Carl!

Be humble for you are made of earth, be noble for you are made of stars

It is a crime that this only has 1 million views. It deserves to be seen by every human being, living on this pale blue dot.

Every time there is a conflict or war, I come watch this video to remind myself how insignificant we all are. We need more people like Carl Sagan.

I watched COSMOS in 1980. I have watched it many times. It changed my life. Carl left us way too early.

I cry nearly every time I listen to this. It is so beautiful to think about. As a victim of long term abuse, it reminds me not to lash out in return. But instead to open my arms to as many people I can. Let's try to preserve this Pale Blue Dot... and each other.

Carl Sagan was as much a philosopher as he was a tireless advocate for science. What an amazing human.

This should be translated in every spoken language.

Exactly 33 years ago today this iconic image was captured by camera on Voyager 1 on 14/02/1990. God bless Carl Sagan

Every time I hear this my eyes water and a lump forms in my throat. Yet I still come back to it time and again to remind myself of why it's so important not to forget.

There are two lines in particular that really stand out for me.

1. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction, of a dot.

2. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image.

Thank you Carl for being such an inspiration.

No sermon or motivational speech comes close to this. Thank you Carl for being such a big influence in my life.

Whoever convinced him to narrate this book should get an award. Posthumously if they aren't still with us.

His other books are fine works, but his narration... it rises to high art at times.

I watch this when I'm feeling horribly sad. Went through a hard breakup, and I watch this on repeat to help reset and center myself, just to see how tiny this moment is, in this vast universe.

I will forever love Dr. Sagan and miss his distinctive and inspiring voice.

this is, in my opinion, the best and more important message that humanity have ever said, and said it to its own. But only a few have heard and undestood... RIP Carl.

I miss two people so very much.

They are both sorely needed right now.

To say that this has had a significant impact on my life would be a severe understatement. I wish that I had found this speech when I was just a young child, but I am glad that I did find it at 18. This was the greatest way to readjust my perspective on life during 2020 when the world went through a pandemic. I know to never stop savoring every moment on this planet and I hope to follow in Carl Sagan's footsteps and study astrophysics myself.
