It is important to note that Sagan himself requested this image captured as the last one before shutdown of camera equipment on Voyager 1. A genius move too, as it is arguably the most significant image ever captured by mankind.

Carl was a big time pothead it's a shame he didn't have the courage to admit it. He could have done a lot of good for the cause!
