Good video!!!! I was literally drinking my guiness and looking up wallpapers for my desktop while watching your video via picture-in-picture. I am still a novice in the linux world. I hope one day I can contribute as much as programmers do. So far though I like Debian based distro's. I am using Linux Mint, you know for beginner stuff. When I get a chance to build a new Rigg, I will have Arch on it to test it out and another HDD dedicated to LMDE. Keep up the great videos bro.

Just heavy Gnome desktop problems, nothing to do with Debian or Arch Linux.

I used Sid for a while, IMO fewer issues with Arch. Sid kept breaking things with my configuration, which is probably unique to my setup. However, I love vanilla Debian, again personal preference, Buster Debian is working well for me using the "Backports" repo. I run linux-image 5.5 and will go to 5.6 when they get a few more bugs out. Good video, thanks

I haven't checked in a while, but there used to be an option in the Debian installer to install "stable", "testing", or "sid". Much quicker way to use sid (or testing) than changing the sources.list and upgrading all the packages.

Believe it is better to install debian via expert install, i don't like graphical expert install but they're both the same. EI debian is really light

Every couple of months or so, even the Testing version of Debian will lose the ability to update due to dependencies being removed from the repository. I've forgotten the mechanism of it, but at that time it generally also breaks the ability to re-install the OS as a radical workaround. My understanding is that Sid could only be worse, but I haven't gotten myself into the "developer" class to whom Sid is exclusively available.

I should have gone to Arch when I first built this tower.

Linux doesn´t run well on VirtualMachines, thats something I don´t really like of Linux Utubers cuz always test things on VirtualMachines with full of errors, so reviews cannot be trusted. Only that mexican guy ZATIEL ( Utube Channel ) always test Linux on real HardWare.
