I've seen deepfakes in different memes and even some celebrity porn but seriously, I had no idea as to the serious ramifications of these well-executed and indistinguishable deepfakes and the control and outcome they could render in our Scary stuff.

Important to note is that (for now at least) deepfakes require a lot of pictures of the person faked, ideally in a lot of different contexts, to learn off of to be work, let alone be realistic (which is why deepfakes of celebrities is easy and common). So just another reminder that if spread pictures of yourself (or anything else for that matter) on the internet, it may come back to bite you.

"as long as you have a photo" .... nah, it takes 100s of photos of almost every facial pose from different angles and shading.
Edit: Ok there seems to be some ways to do this from just a single image but they are not publicly available and there is no knowing how much work they take and what these methods can actually produce.
