There was this group of boys at my school who took a picture of a girls OOTD on her snap and used AI to make it look like they were unclothed. Then they posted it on THEIR stories and in their GC. The main dude who did the editing literally WENT TO COURT and almost went to jail or juvie or whatever. And guess what? He was suspended for TWO WEEKS. TWO. WEEKS.

WHY THE FUCK WAS HE NOT EXPELLED??? HE'S A WHOLE ASS CRIMINAL AND THEY JUST GAVE HIM A SLAP ON THE WRIST AND SUSPENDED HIM FOR 2 WEEKS.

dude I am so glad I was in middle school in 2010-2013 like omg. girls would accuse me of stuffing my bra and were literally so mean. I cant imagine this? this is actually so scary bc idk I was diagnosed with depression in middle school and had lots of bad thoughts. I actually barely made it out alive. One day in middle school, for some reason my science teacher just didn't come to class and didn't show up for a long time, rumors get passed around and eventually it's revealed a guy in the grade up from me very convincingly photoshopped her face on a nude photo of another person and reported it to the school saying she sent it to him (basically trying to frame her as a predator to get her fired). She eventually came back to teaching later that year and made a speech to the class explaining that everything was fake. This vid made me think of this story because deepfakes have been around for a really long time, it's terrifying what is going to happen when advancements in AI make them even more believable and accessible to everyone.
