Full process that how to create New User Account in Mac and convert your standard account to Admin account.

1. Restart your system.
2. Press and hold command + S keys.
3. type- mount -uw /
4. type- rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
5. then type- reboot
make sure to put spaces correctly in commands
Your Mac will restart and display the Welcome to Mac screen. Then follow the step-by-step guide to create your new admin user account.

After following these instructions also I am getting my old Admin screen and not the new Admin set up screen. How to go about it now. i have a High Sierra on my Mac.

Hi, tried this on Big Sur 11.4, and I get a comment on command line as: "volume could not be mounted: permission denied". "Mount : / failed with 66". I don't know what this means and what to do next... :( please help.. Thanks in advance..

When I type “mount -uw /“ it just says “updating mount from /dev/disk1s1 to read/write node is not allowed”
