pretty sure there is a kinda safe version of this malware. it was TL legacy but now its just Legacy Launcher. i will recommend you to use the original minecraft launcher just in case.

It is real that they use their own java but that java thing is really picky so Idk how they should have done that. I think they didn't even know how to actually get java in the first place and it is easier to just put it on your website instead of manually installing from the oracle website
