Hi I'm Istebrak! I'm an art teacher. I paint-over your art work and embed the lesson in the critique. My livestream paint-over sessions are called CritiqueHour and I host the live-streams on this channel every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 PM EST.

10:30 this is a really good tip. It basically flipped a switch in my brain when the pupil and iris disappeared lmao.

I think the fixation is caused by our natural inclination to look into people's eyes so we can read their emotions. The relatively flat appearance of the pupil and iris draw the mind away from the curvature of the face. That's my theory at least.
