1:39-1:58 I think this part is meant to represent the dreams that were dashed by the genocide run as well as the heroic futility of Undyne's fight 'cause she will eventually lose, but doesn't give up. It also represents the saddening realization that Undyne is already dead, but is fighting beyond death to strike down the player.
