When Undyne is in her “true hero state”, she’s not going back. She is technically already dead. Which means even if she wins, she’ll still fall and die.

And classic Undyne sees it as a chance to abuse even her own body to become the strongest she’s ever been

Always loved this fight. Intense but still fair. The music grabs the important aspect of the fight, the action filled clashes between you and Undyne and the slower, sader parts which reflect your actions, what you done and will do to fulfill that run.

Only a true hero among monsters would be able to summon the determination needed to stop the biggest threat the Underground has ever seen. Not only for monsters. But for humans too. For everyone. Only a true hero would go past the physical boundaries of their own body. In the name of justice and the fate of the world itself.
