Thanks for having my (old) miata as the thumbnail! The exhaust isn't fake tho, other than that pretty much nailed all the points

Learned most of this in Higj school from auto shop class and reading Hot Rod magazines. We're talking the early 60s here. You did a great job but you didn't mention the ridiculous fart pipe exhausts running around Polluting our ears with the awful exhaust notes.

I am laughing about the cut springs and traffic cone intake

Just a few things I've found as well in case it helps;
Lightweight wheels: I notice people put on lighter wheels, I wanted to do it for my G but I realized whenever someone added lighter wheels they got better city mileage but worse freeway mileage. Im guessing its that whole "when in object is in motion it wants to stay in motion" thing combined with heavier things don't really want to slow down as much. They did say it seemed to handle better though but something to consider for track cars when you definitely want to stay in motion. (Also side note, in Forza I stopped messing with the tires and making them lighter because I noticed I got less traction and that's of course where you want traction)
Making the car lighter: When I first started off with cars this was my favorite thing to do, It makes everything better (and being broke it was free and gave better gas milage). But i found that doing this does 2 things, 1 is since your car is lighter your ride height goes up because it was use to a certain weight, not a big deal just change out the suspension. But the 2nd is the killer where it messes up your weight distribution and destroys the handling of your car. Especially when I got my G37 I noticed I could lose 3 or 400 lbs easy between the front seats, exhaust, sunroof, spare tire and tools. But it would all be weight in the back in a car that's already front heavy. They made those things heavy in the back on purpose to counter balance the front end weight as much as possible. I actually noticed the only difference between my car and a Quatroportte was the transaxle (both front-mid engine, both double wishbone suspension in front and multi-link rear, obviously it has a v8 but as for how the car handles the transaxle was the biggest difference). So I added sand bags to the trunk and back passenger seat of my car and it felt slower in the straights of course, but it transformed into a beast in the corners, any understeer it did have was gone. Sometimes adding weight is better rather than losing it if your car winds up having a weight distribution of a muscle car from the 60's.
Side note on the Aero: I agree that most the time you don't need a wing on the road. With speeds rarely going over 60 or 70 even in canyons, you don't need that much drag to keep your tires dug in. That being said, I owned an '89 Mr2 for awhile and I did notice on the freeway it made the car handle much better. You can feel the air pushing down on it giving you more traction and allowing you to just keep accelerating without fear of spinning out. Do you need a wing most the time? Nah. But if the wing has been through a wind tunnel and its been tuned right (sometimes you can angle your wing wrong and actual lose drag rather than gain it, or create more wake rather than drag or slip) it can be a game changer for another level of speed.

I love it when I see some of these cars that have a 4 cylinder NA engine and a matching 4 inch exhaust to go with their "High Flow CAI" lol.

It's so good that you did your advertisements at the end of the video and not in the middle of discussion 😃

I don't think most people who does stances are worried about performance 🤔

Great video. One caveat I have on the oil is that I have a 1975 MGB and it requires 20W50 oil. Nothing against the video, just wanted to mention it. Would I put it in my 2009 Ford Ranger? Not a chance!

I went with 1.5 inch wider wheels in the front and 2.5 inches wider wheels in the back, with 20mm over factory wider in front and 30mm wider in back with the same aspect ratio, all while saving around 5lbs each wheel 😎👍 Artisa wheels are a great choice! Along with continental extreme contact sports are averaging around 2lbs lighter per tire 😁

Great vid!! IMO, Camber stance'd vehicles are an absolute joke. it's nothing more than a 'style' that insinuates performance yet, in reality, possesses none.

The only one I don't fully agree with is the oil.
If your car is turbocharged, you should run something like 5W50 or 10W60.
It's not that much more expensive and you have peace of mind that everything stays lubricated even when you're liberal with throttle input so to say.
Turbochargers use the same oil as the engine and bc they're run directly by exhaust gasses, they get very hot and so does the oil.
It's cheaper to get a couple litres of 5W50 than to fix a spun bearing or a seized turbo...

Classic video. Great advice, but when I was 17(uk) & I guess when you were 16, we both said, Huff to the old guy, when all the car magazines say Yay to mods lol. Big thumbs up. 👍🇬🇧👍🇺🇸
