My cousin had something similar in his car. Didn't have the airbag installed, and he ended up in a head on collision. He might have survived it, but the trauma done to his brain when his head smashed into the steering wheel was enough to kill him instantly.

I learned from a New Jersey Cop that if You install TWO Kill switches ( One in your trunk and one under the hood ), Your car will be very Difficult to Steal .
( Unless they have a Tow truck )

I am one of those people who changed my steering wheel. It had to be done, airbag recalled and unsafe. Being an older car I removed it and replaced with a quick release which is super safe in an emergency. Being able to remove that steering wheel and exit easily.

My theft prevention method is my stick shift truck and my non power steering and non powered breaks. The thief would jump in thinking there's something wrong with my car xD

LOL, I had a 76 charger that the guy I got it from put a after market in. And wanted to keep it when he sold it. I talked him down to $100. With no steering wheel. I drove it for 6 years with two pairs of vise grips as a steering wheel. LOL 😂😮😂

2-I mounted the wheel fixed

You still have the side airbag that sits in the passenger seat, tells you how to drive and which way you should be going 😉

I got an 84 Nissan s12 I have everything to switch mine, just need to get a good wheel. (Mine doesn’t have airbags)
If you have airbags and want one you can send your wheel to a company and they can make a custom wheel with the same airbag on it!
