Multiplication and Division are are transposable
3 x 4 ÷2, is the same as 4 ÷2 x 3,
Both = 6
Addition and Subtraction are are transposable
3 + 4 - 2, is the same as 4 - 2 + 3,
Both = 5

The way the problems written wouldn’t 2 be the coefficient for the parentheses since there is not multiplication symbol?
Like would this not be the same?
6 ÷ 2x = 1
Then you’d solve for x and write it like this
6 ÷ 2(3) =1

6 ÷ 2x = 9
Would just come out to x=1/3 or
6 ÷ 2(1/3) = 9

So in Germany (or at least in my school) we where suppost to solve it like this

first we where suppost to solve the problem in the thingys () so its 1+2=3

Then we are gonna solve the other problem wich ist 6:2=3

So then 3+3=6 so then i was Like so confused on how ppl came to 9 and 1 but yeah

Hi,
Have you listened to your own video on this problem?
If so you have the solution to correct your mathematics.
6÷2(1+2)
6 ÷2 (3)

You said...
Six divide by 2 times Three
But on the board is....
Six divide by 2 Perentheses Three

BODMAS or PEMDAS
so any expression with a Perentheses must be calculated out first.
2(3) = 6
6÷6=1
