Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together. For today's video, let's hear the beautiful sounds of the Turkic languages. Please feel free to subscribe to see more of this. I hope you have a great day! Stay happy! (Language Documentation and Preservation)

The Turkic languages are a language family of at least 35documented languages, spoken by the Turkic peoples of Eurasia from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Western Asia all the way to North Asia (particularly in Siberia) and East Asia. The Turkic languages originated in a region of East Asia spanning Western China to Mongolia, where Proto-Turkic is thought to have been spoken, from where they expanded to Central Asia and farther west during the first millennium.

Turkic languages are spoken as a native language by some 170 million people, and the total number of Turkic speakers, including second-language speakers, is over 200 million. The Turkic language with the greatest number of speakers is Turkish, spoken mainly in Anatolia and the Balkans; its native speakers account for about 40% of all Turkic speakers.

Amerika'dan selamlar hepinize. Büyük annem Türk, beni o büyüttü yetiştirdi. Türkçe biliyorum, diziler izliyorum, kitaplar okuyorum. Ancak bilmiyordum bu kadar çok Türk dilleri olduğunu. Bir gün dünyayı gezmek, Türk yerlerine gitmek istiyorum. Hepinize bol selamlar.

Hi from Korea 🇰🇷. 1300 years ago Turks live next to Koreans. But Turks love travel. Now you guys are far away scattered around the world and we are still at the same place. My old turk friends loved travel👋

I'm Mexican but I would like to live in Turkey for a while. Spanish is my 1st language then comes English which I've known since I was 8, I'm currently trying to learn Turkish it's so beautiful and interesting especially when you speak it and know what you're saying. I'm still learning the most basic basic Turkish you can possibly know 💀 For example today I learned that "tavuk" means chicken 😂
Beautiful language and culture you Turkish people have.

Edit: I totally forgot about this comment 💀 I’m shocked at the likes and comments, Turkish people really are some of the nicest. Thank you for your nice comments. My name is Maria by the way. I’m from Puebla, Puebla Mexico but my family and I have been living in California for almost 14 years. Can’t believe so many of you are also learning Spanish. I would help but it’s a bit difficult to explain since there’s quite a bit of rules to the Spanish language, but I can try. I’m still trying to learn it but Im not sure I still want to live in Turkey I would definitely love to visit Turkey though. I’ve been learning German since March of 2020 before Turkish so I’m still learning German first and then Turkish. It’s much easier to concentrate on one than both at the same time. Once again Gracias por su apoyo y lindos comentarios. Teshekkür ederim :)))

Honestly it's mindblowing that we have so many similarities with people I've never even imagined we would have something in common. It would so fun to talk to every turkic language native speaker. Greetings from Bashkortostan!

Good job. Perhaps as a compliment I can add that there are Turks living in Northern Iraq and North-west Syria as well. As a Turkish journalist, I can assure you that Turkish is well-spoken in East and Southeast, too.
