He was honestly the best built villian in 5 and killing him at the end felt like such the right thing to do and a great culmination to Micheal's story. Really bizarre choice to make sparing him the canon choice imo.

I remember my first time playing this part I let him get away after pulling him out of his car and shooting him in the balls. Since he apparently canonically survives, I like to imagine that this is how Michael actually handled the situation
