This man's approach on building muscle was so revolutionary for the time that it's almost unbelievable he's not more famous, if we thank Arnold for bringing popularity to the sport we should thank Mike for developing the low time consuming but high effectivity training program that made common people stay interested in bodybuilding at the time

The goal isn’t stimulus, the goal is growth!

I've studied this man's thoughts, read his books, and worked out through his 'H.I.T.' training. He was WAY ahead of his time. His way works if done properly. 👍

Yeah this is true I take a couple week break every so often and I notice the weight I used feels lighter.

It doesn't necessarily means you have to do low volume. But deload or a week rest every meso is absolutely crucial for gains.

mTOR Pathway was reset. Mike is correct. However, my problem when i was younger was not doing to the proper things while in the recovery phase. I would often miss meals and get wasted with my buddies. But after 2 months i would eventually be stronger and muslces feel more filled out

LOVE Mike’s HIT ! Wish I would have known about it years ago

I think he mostly meant that most bodybuilders just overtrain and when they have a lay off they got stronger after lay off.

Big news. Decreasing load, volume or training, has been done in every sport before competition to get into top shape.

I think the problem with most (including myself) is we train so often more for our mental health, if I don’t go gym regularly I’ll beat myself up over it.

When you do HIT the effects is long unlike low intensity high volume it only last 2-3 days the effects is gone. When you do HIT even at moderately heavy weights that slow reps until failure, full contraction make muscles & joints strong. It's like incorporating calisthenics & dynamic tension with weights added thus strength is increase also

This is called having a deload. With proper programming you can incorporate deloads in the training.

😅😅😅 yeah man we need lots of resting time if we train really hard 😔 and give ourselves time to grow as well

This is probably only if you’re on gear. In other cases if you take a week off MAX and come back stronger then that means you were overtrained and needed to implement deloads

Nah. Mike is a legend and all of that but after few weeks I feel like s and can't lift same weight as before. Not for me.
