There are so many plant variety options when it comes to growing Bonsai! Bonsai is an ancient Asian art form used to make certain types of plants miniature and slow-growing. There are three main categories of Bonsai, Exotic, Flowering, and Hardy. Money Trees, ZZ Plants, and Ginseng Ficus are all examples of exotic Bonsai. Some of the most common flowering Bonsai include Gardenias and Azaleas. Junipers make fantastic hardy Bonsai that can tolerate temperatures down to 32 degrees. Remember, the key to being successful with these plants is maintaining a proper watering schedule.
