PETITTI | Growing Small Trees in Containers for the Patio

Показать описание
Planting ornamental trees and durable evergreens in and around the patio is a great way to define the area, add layers of height, and provide privacy. These trees have a smaller stature, which allows you to enjoy growing them in closer proximity to seating areas without overwhelming the space. Added bonus? They’re also relatively easy to maintain over time! Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Manager with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn just how easy it is to grow small ornamental trees in containers.

question: if you bring them inside an unheated garage do they need to be by a window or is it okay to have the plant in a dark garage over winter?

I wish there was a tree type plant that will tolerate a northern exposure. early morning and after 4pm

Great video! For the Hydrangea Tree, what size and type pot (ceramic vs plastic) would you use on the patio in NE Ohio? I would love to have a hydrangea tree on the patio with annuals planted below.

What is the best way to protect a rose tree planted in the ground? I have 4 knock out roses grafted on a standard. I bought pool noodles to put around the trunks but what about the graft union?

Don’t their root systems quickly outgrow the containers, then they die or must be repotted?
