Never use these on your face

❌Lemon🍋
It can be very irritating on the skin. Lemon also increase photosensitivity and makes skin more prone to develop darkening on exposure to sun.
👩‍⚕️Alternative : for brightness use niacinamide or vitamin C serum. These can make your skin tone more can without causing irritatio

❌Baking soda
Baking soda on face to treat acne or on underarms to reduce darkness should absolutely be avoided. This causes irritation to the skin and can cause chemical burn.
👩‍⚕️Alternative: use glycolic acid cream for gentle exfoliation

❌Ice🧊
Ice can feel soothing on irritated skin but can also dry the skin out. It may help in temporarily shrinking open pores. Always wrap an ice cube in towel before applying it on the skin. Never use it directly. And do not put it on for extended periods . Use 10 secs on and 10 secs off technique to ensure you are not harming the skin.
👩‍⚕️Alternative: using a green tea bag or a cold spoon is safer for depuffing and reducing redness

❌Steam ♨️
Steam is popular due to the soothing warm effect of the skin. It is not actually beneficial. Steam inhalation works well if you have stuffy nose, cough, sore throat or nasal allergies. Use an appliance which only covers nose and mouth versus the one which covers the whole face .
Steam maybe helpful in removing blackheads and whiteheads. It can dry skin out and can exacerbate rosacea, melasma and dark spots.
👩‍⚕️Alternative: can place a warm towel on nose to soften dead skin to remove blackheads. Use salicylic acid on a regular basis so blackheads and whiteheads reduce in number.

❌Toothpaste 🪥
Applying toothpaste on acne is a skin care hack that should absolutely be buried and never retrieved. It can cause a chemical burn on surrounding normal skin which takes a long time to heal.
👩‍⚕️Alternative: use salicylic acid spot corrector over acne .

I've used baking soda for years, it helped me clear acne and acne scars and it can provide excellent exfoliation so I use it weekly. If you use it with just water or oil there is no danger of a chemical burn, just don't use it with other products. Other dermatologists suggest using it so don't take what one person says as a rule. Not everyone has money for glycolic acid or whatever it is you're suggesting.

But steam is important for our face...because steam can help to reduce extra oil on our face and helps to minimise open porse....I get prove....

I have seen many people who use homemade facepacks but still their is face more glowing than the one who uses chemical products . In my point of view chemical products can give u good look but when u stop using those chemical products u will get pimples and many more but homemade products doesn't affect ur skin

No matter what you do there is always going to be someone saying otherwise. Some dermatologists encourage using something and there are some who would discourage it

50% in this video are suggested by the dermatologist....! Do what works for you. Also niacinamide, vitamin c and mostly all other serums have more adverse effects than shown in video.

Steam
Ice
They both are very good in winter it is better to do steam rather than ice
Use ice in summer it will very shocking+best results
But not put ice on a part for a long time it may cause redness

Yeah ! We should not use Ice on face .... But for dark circles we should use ice like put the ice in cotton then use on your dark circles ( massage the dark circles area slowly slowly ) ☺️❤️
