Opening MOGRT files in After Effects | MotionRevolver QuikTip

Opening a Motion Graphics Template file (.mogrt) inside of After Effects used to be a complicated manner. Adobe recently streamlined the process, which allows users to open a .mogrt file and convert it to an editable .aep for customization. In this MotionRevovler QuikTip, we'll show you how!

Thanks so much for this! Super straightforward tutorial. I really appreciate it. Most of the mogrt files I imported turned out ok, but some seem to have screens, etc mismatched in different places, out of frame, etc. Have you ever experienced this? I can maybe figure out some ways to fix each one, but wondering if there's a more efficient solution. Thanks again!

One thing to add is if it was created in premiere pro, then it can not be imported to after effects.

Thanks for your help man, I think that the best way to work with MOGRT is to open them in After effects and then convert them to Alpha MOV otherwhise it will a hell to make them to work with Premiere Pro.

Hmm, is this for Mac OS only? Only reason I ask is because I get "unsupported file type" when trying to open a MOGRT file via the open projects menu option in AE. A bit stumped on this one, thanks for the video though.

Great video, I can't seem to find how to save it back as a MOGRT. I tried save as, export, none of them give me a dropdown for mogrt. Can you be more specific on the saving aspect? Thanks.
