Sometimes you purchase MOGRT templates and they're just not as customisable as you'd like them to be! In this video I show you how to open and edit a MOGRT file.

Fantastic! Great to know I always have a backup in case my original Ae project file gets lost or corrupted. In case it helps anybody here's another tip... if you always want the color of the main text bubble and the pointy bit to be the same, you can use the pick whip to parent the color of the pointy bit to the color of the main bubble and then just add the main bubble color to the controls for the MOGRT.

This is great. Thank you. I have a MOGRT which does allow me to change colour in PP but I can't save the adjusted version. Is there way to do this?

Really helpful about changing the extension to zip, thanks, needed to know that step, I too have created my own mogrts but I also wanna cheat a little and take certain parts of a couple of mogrts and marry them plus my own twist. Remember people, in this example, if you wanted both elements of the background to always be the same, add a color control layer in the AE file, pickwhip both shape layer colors to the color control and then drag the Color from the control layer into the Essential Graphics panel, just saves the extra step and time long term.
