My father was in the UN peacekeeping forces in the 60’s. He lived all throughout Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Israel. He always told me as a kid that this war would never end. He passed a few years ago at 77 and said it again before he passed. Years later, here we are. He was right.

Lebanese here, heard the biggest explosion so far an hour ago the whole country heard it, literally. Excluding the nitrate explosion, of course.

As a Lebanese, it’s so weird seeing an objective analysis of what has been happening in my country, while simultaneously living it

Showing the maps with borders/markers for events being talked about really helps me understand what is actually happening, too often news or other media just name places/forces/countries and its impossible to really get a grasp on whats going on.
So thank you for providing these visuals in your videos.

As a Lebanese, I hate seeing the hezbollah flag next to the Lebanese flag.

Let's play a game...
1. Take a shot every time the narrator says "massive" or "devastating"
2. Try not to die of alcohol poisoning

"Will Iran sit back and watch?" No, the answer was no.

This is confusing as fuck. How the hell does a country have a secondary army that it has no power over, that is more powerful than its own?

basically, they attacked them a while ago and then they attacked them in response, this led to them attacking them again to which they attacked them in response, then they attacked them preemptively because they were about to attack them, but after a while they attacked them again and so they attacked them back, then recently they attacked them again and they attack in response leading them to attack them some more

Picturing RLL editing this video for hours, wiping the sweat off his brow and clicking "export", then gets a notification of yet another escalation.

A key point impacting the economy of Lebanon may have been missed.
The Levant (effectively Lebanon, Syria, and Jordon), consider themselves almost like family.
Lebanon, with a population of under 6 million people, took in almost 2 million refugees from Syria.

This is equivalent to the USA taking in about 80 million refugees.

When I was last in Lebanon, it seemed like every household had a couple of their Syrian cousins sleeping on their sofas.

This generous expression of hospitality pushed the Lebanese economy close to breaking.

Any further economic impacts would always be devastating.

The explosion in 2020 and the current conflict have pushed them over the brink, and into economic collapse.

The kindness and generosity of Lebanon towards it's neibours should not be unacknowledged.
