Is Israel About to Invade Lebanon?

Since October, Israel and Lebanon have been engaged in a conflict, running in parallel to the war in Gaza. But, an attack on Saturday seems to have escalated these tensions further - so, in this video, we're going to explain what happened, and whether this pattern of escalation is cause for concern.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

Hello. Just a correction on the Druze in Israel.
Most of them are citizens and have mandatory military service like the jews in Israel.

The ones who are not Israeli citizens are the Druze of the Golan heights.

The reason for this is that one of the rules in the Druze religion says that they must be loyal to whochever country they live in.
When the Golan hights were won from Syria the local Druze stayed loyal to the house of Assad, thinking the area would one day be traded back or conquered.

Interestingly, listening to interviews of Golan Heights residents, it seems formerly Syrian residents (even ones who did not convert to Israeli citizens) demand Israel to go to war with Hezbolah in retaliation.

Most Druze living within Israel’s borders ARE Israeli citizens. The ones that aren’t are the exceptions, not the other way around.

Mist druze in the Golan hightes are not Israeli citizens. Druze in the rest of Israel are full Israeli citizens. I had druze commanders and commrads in the military
