BOTH times I've had this issue I unplugged my TV from the wall. Then Plugged it back in. And it fixed the issue. Didnt have to mess with the aux or playstation at all

I think what helped me was unplugging everything and switching the HDMI cable ends. I don't know why it did this, is this a known glitch? Hopefully Sony can somehow patch this out.

I just ran into this with my Bose sound bar… I tried everything possible… finally found under system settings > HDMI > enable HDCP… the second I disabled that setting my sound started working again! Hope this helps anyone else experiencing this.
