Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, aka ROGD, is a phenomenon that has popped up in recent years. With the availability of puberty blockers & wrong sex hormones becoming easier to obtain, a psychological trend quickly became what most of us believe is the largest medical scandal of our time.

My guests will be sharing the stories of their children who suddenly announced they were trans in their teens.

This stole my daughter, too. She was the girliest girl, loving, and happy. She cut me and her baby sister off completely off. I told her she was too young for hormones and surgeries. I asked her to wait until her brain was more developed before making these decisions.
She’s 19 now and I can’t do anything. I feel helpless and terrified. I’m so scared for her. It is absolutely a cult! My heart is shattered and I just want my beautiful daughter back.

As I am watching this I am thankful I left the school system. As a former school social worker I could not imagine dealing with this and leaving the parents out of the situation. I left 8 years ago and I thought it was bad then. -Elizabeth

Thank you for covering this topic. I can only relate to these parents' experience on some level, because my female best friend has been identifying as a ''trans guy'' for the past 3 years, when before that she had been a perfectly normal gender-non conforming lesbian. Now she's poisoning herself with testosterone and most of the effects that have taken place will never go away. I don't recognize my best friend anymore. Whenever I'm with her I have to use male pronouns and her new male name despite the fact that I don't buy any of the trans ideology, because if I don't do it I might lose her. My own sister shames me for using my best friend's correctly-sexed pronouns and her real name when I speak about her to my close family. I'm not going to apologize for putting my own intellectual honesty and my mental health before my best friend's delusions, but some days it gets hard not to give in.

As in the days of Noah! I’ve been studying this phenomenon for a ecouple of months and it is mind-blowing! I pray activists get together and put a stop to this. Satan is taking our kids. This reminds me of biblical end days, where it says, there will be lawlessness, ppl will be haters of God, lovers of money, and our life be will wax cold. I'm not apologizing for coming at this from a place of faith. Between media and societal changes, we've all gone mad! These parents really shed insight. I hope this trend dissolves, but I don't see that anytime soon. To be persecuted while trying to raise your child in the healthiest way. A shame

I'm not a parent, neither do I have anyone close to me going through this, but I can feel the pain they share. I can't imagine how bad I would feel if I were in their shoes. What's even more frustrating is that I'm pretty much forced live my life pretending this doesn't bother me, otherwise I would get into serious trouble at work. Even here, on Youtube, I was forced to login on this random account I created just so I could leave a comment, cause I can't risk my main account, since I'm also small youtuber with a lot to lose.

It's insane the state of this world, and it's horrible how some of us can't even oppose to it

I was threatened by the school when my son was 12 years old. The Principal said if I didn’t give him Ritalin, they would take him away. Sold our home and moved! He graduated with honors.

Watching from Australia and exactly the same problem here. I have been belittled by my daughters psychologist for not affirming her, and patronised by her school that I need to educate myself on the importance of gender affirming. I related to the mum who said her 26 year old neice chastised her as I had exactly the same thing happen with my 19 year old nephew. He said I'm damaging my 12 year old by not using her new name and they/them pronouns. Its such a helpless feeling

I have a teenage daughter who is expressing gender dysphoria... Social contagion. I'm currently reading the book Irreversible Damage, My daughter fits the stories in the book to a T. I don't believe this is, in any way, actually happening. I believe it's social contagion.

Based upon what I've learned about doctors and therapists etc. in these situations, I'm not terribly trusting of finding someone who can help get to the bottom of this rather than affirming her "belief". Are there any resources out there for where parents who want to help their child l, rather than blinding being led into an abyss, where we can find doctors or therapists near us who will help solve the puzzle rather than haphazardly reenforce negative beliefs and offer damaging treatments?

That 'fear of growing up' thing. Sometimes I really wonder how great a role this plays. After all, puberty, age of majority, and sexuality itself are all pointing toward an adult existence in the world.
So if this 'fear' is continually ignored or dismissed, and something is launched in its place, an entire way of being has to be reinvented in order to accommodate the need for a specified reality.
Which is required every single day, ongoing, and without end. Which feels like something that would be absolutely exhausting. Which of course would produce all kinds of anxiety, depression, and other sorts of emotional breakdowns.

Once upon a time we had a happy pill for all of this. Now we have a treatment method that is infinitely more complex, and more expensive. As if to satisfy a need to reflect upon ourselves and our new high tech refinement and redesigning. The latter half of the 20th Century and thus far into the 21st, has produced an incessant obsession with the need to play god. Once we have lost the habit or the need, or the inclination to worship (something godlike) well then, we just move forward into a kind of deity appropriation. As if somehow - that is a job we can do better.

The only other thing I have to say about this, at the moment - is that most everything I've read and heard on this subject reveals a profound incapability in so-called professional adults, to actually step up and collectively provide troubled young people with real and actual help. They do not appear to be inclined in this way, well versed in the practice, or competent in the skills required. Instead, they are more likely to resemble meat inspectors in a slaughterhouse factory on a fast-track disassembly line. Which is lousy enough for that industry, as it is. Something exponentially worse when concerning the health and well being of actual young human beings.

Just ordered the Neufeld book. Surprised to find the original edition was 2004.
