A Hard SAT Math Question about Quadratic Equations

This is a hard question that showed up on the calculator portion of the SAT. It is hard to do without the strategy that is shown in the video.

There is a much faster way that takes 20 seconds. Using the product of solutions formula c/a, we can find that the solutions have to multiple into -1(p+1)/p-1. Then, we can see that the only answer that multiplies to this formula is C.
