With the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 you can record up to 12 individual channels, create custom headphone mixes for up to five band members, and craft a polished live mix complete with studio-quality effects. You can complete your entire project on the L-12 or transfer all 12 discrete tracks to your DAW for editing and mixing. The LiveTrak L-12 also functions admirably as a 14-in/4-out USB audio interface for your Mac, PC, or iOS device.

Mitch is hands down the best host in the gear field on the internet. A calm demeanor, clear presentation, well spoken, polite, professional... Simply a magnifiscient man. Thank you for doing what you do. 👍

Awesome that someone finally added the phone jacks for individual monitor. Complete game changer for all us rehearsing in small spaces who have neighbors to consider.

Now make a version with more mic inputs and mixing from internet devices and I'm in heaven.

Amazing work from Zoom Team. Really wished the L12 & L20 were motorized fader especially when you save & recall different Mixes for headphones. We're 2019 almost 2020. Hope ZOOM is listening, bring one Motorized ASAP. Great unit ;-) We're renting and selling these as hotcakes at Long&McQuade ;-)

I have been in and out of studios since the 1980's, stuff is getting cheaper and easier to use. You no longer need to break the bank to get quality recording gear. Great stuff from Zoom.

This is my honest review, really great device! I can sample, record, replaced my old audio interface, do live sets for my DJ sets (record the set not replace my dj deck) small events, it’s really useful, I take it everywhere I go! And absolutely love it! You can also print your tracks if you prefer to mix that way, but i find it very useful! Highly recommend, it’s like having a scarlet but you have a lot of cool inputs and faders and mixing abilities

Does it output to the USB and Analog Stereo outs at the same time or do you have to choose?

Meters on every channel? I'd pay the price of admission just to get channel meters on a plain analog mixer. I'm in love.

Will this device record better drum audio and have better preamps than the Tascam DP-24SD? And will it be easier to record on this device than the Tascam DP-24SD (not using a computer)?

Some cool Portastudios are coming out. This looks like a cheaper version of the Model 24. Tascam seems to have led these things forever

Question: I just want to make it clear. So this can do multitrack recording? Each with separate track? So it’s like an audio interface with mixer capabilities??

Very cool, glad to see ZOOM is still developing there compact recorders and finally making it a fully functioning mixer/recorder in one. I have the ZOOM R24, which I have been able to use without a computer for over a year before I got my i7 Lenovo laptop. I prefer my Behringer X18 Air for it's preamps for recording drums. It looks as though they may have updated the pre amps for the L-12!
