The absence of solo buttons is inconvenient, but can be worked around using a monitor mix.

However, it looks like the reverb doesn't go to the monitor mixes, and since it doesn't have a separate output, that cannot be worked around. Only having dry monitor mixes is going to make rehearsing with headphones rather unpleasant, any fix for that?

Dea all,
We as a band are really interested in buying this mixer soon. Our intention is to use the L12 not only for recordings but also for small gigs where we want to use mono floor monitors (instead of stereo in-ear-monitoring). So usually we use one floor monitor per musician (=mono). Can the headphone outputs of the L12 provide a mono sum signal (= left and right) independent from the pan settings when we only connect a mono TS cable for the different floor monitors? For example: 2 guitars panned fully left and right for PA, but both guitars should also be heard on every hope you can help. Many thanks in advance!

hi. great video. i just found it now. i own the L-12 for a couple of years now and in the last months it started to change the main-volume on its own randomly and some days the audio just stops working in general ( i have to switch between output devices on windows 11. i have tried to find the Zoom L-12 support but there is none. there is no email-adress, no chat, no help form nothing. and yes, i have tried to find an answer to my questions on their support page, but havent found anything. any help would be appreciated.

I have a Zoom L-12 digital mixer, and I'm a little bit confused about how to set the mid EQs on it. It has a channel strip and you can adjust the EQ for each channel for High, Mid and Low. However, for the mids it also has a 'Mid Frequency Knob' (which is the one above the Mid knob in the pic below).

In the manual it says that the Mid Frequency Knob 'adjusts the central frequency of the mid frequency equalisation'. So presumably you turn that dial to choose which frequency you want, and then you use the 'Mid' knob below it to boost or cut that frequency.

However, what I'm confused about is this - let's say I choose the 1k frequency, then I boost it up a notch. Then I choose the 2k frequency, then boost or cut that. Now what happens to the 1k frequency I previously adjusted? Does that stay boosted or does it then reset when I select another frequency? The manual isn't very clear on this. Is it possible to boost/cut multiple EQ frequencies on the mids on the Zoom L-12, or just one at a time/one only?

One thing that makes Zoom mixers stand out is the monitor green levels on each channel which makes them very attractive to drummers especially, but I would like Zoom people to make them available in 24/192 recordings too.

Can the you plug a floor monitor into one of the headphone mixes and have a custom mix through the floor monitor ???

Why only 12 tracks? How about 24 or 32 tracks that sample at 96HZ like this unit does? And a VGA output? At 96hz, if you have quality outboard channel strips (like a Rupert Neve Portico II or a Shelford channel) and a decent Mastering Compressor, you can compete with top flight studios, WITHOUT a computer. Especially for those of us who hate Pro-Tools.

Can you confirm if the stereo channel jack inputs are balanced or unbalanced? In the manual it mentions TS in one part and TRS in another. And in this preview the chap says TRS, which suggests balanced.

Hey Zoomers, could you please make virtual channel on to which one may save channels to so one could record several takes on the same channel? Right now I have to plug cables to another free channel, copy eq and fx to do this. Otherwise I can only overdub, what gives me no ability to take alternativ takes of the same instrument on the same channel.

Can this record one track while another one is on playback repeat? So one loops all the time while recording (eg a hihat loop)?

can you please tell me - does this have all the functionality of a basic multitrack like the R24? or does the R24 have more and better options for recording?
i am looking to make a demo CD of my band. I would also like to record / mix live but honestly getting the best CD recorded of our songs is the most important thing.

Does the SD-recording put everything into one track? Or does the SD card keep the tracks separated, so that they can be read as individual audio tracks when moving the SD card to a computer and a moving the recording to a DAW?

Still trying to track down whether or not the Zoom Live Trak L-12 can also send out the individual tracks to a daw, IMCase; Reaper as a back up (fail safe) AND record each track to the SD card at the SAME time. Thanks in advance.

Audio editing - I'm getting one but rely on audio editing in the DAW. Does wave editing in the software update the audio for that channel in real time on the Livetrak?

Has the problem with the MUTE buttons been fixed? I would love to buy this, but the fact that the mute buttons do not affect recording is just ... Inexplicable ...
