Preparedness is a lifestyle that requires planning, perseverance, determination and most of all hard work and the ability to adapt to change.
Exampl: This week I have cut and hauled another 2 years worth of firewood from the woods. At 73 it totally wore me out but it gave a total of 7 years of dry firewood l. This is future heat and cooking security that I don't have to worry about when things get bad. When individuals say that they can't afford to prepare they have just failed to prioritize their own needs and fail to sacrifice some of their comfort and wants. We live on SSI with a little extra part-time work raising our teenage daughters. Each year we expand our self-reliant preparedness and the ability to grow and store more food.
Now I have to splut and stack about 4 cord of firewood on my home-built logsplitter.
God is good! Life is great!
Thanks Steve!

After months of searching and interviewing I finally landed a better job. In tandem I consolidated all bills and did away with items I no longer needed. I feel much more prepared now.

We’ve been doing this for 12 years. In 2015 my husband saw the need to get more than just food, water, meds and ammo. He took his 401k out and we got busy. I can say we now have water forever unless our new well 220’ deep with a simple hand pump on it goes dry. And so much more. We think we’ve prepared for everything but we have not stopped. We haven’t taken a real vacation in years-just weekend getaways a few times, because we’d rather prep. I’m so tired of people saying they can’t afford to prep but they spend money on manicures, pedis, hunting/fishing gear, go to the clubs and bars, buy a bougie coffee every day, , buy designer shoes and handbags, ETC. They have money for all of that and more but can’t find a dollar to prep. We need to be serious, responsible with what God gave us and look toward the future; not live for today. Everyone needs your series Stonemont. I’ve enjoyed reading the first 3. Now I’m going to buy the next 3. It’s our desire to have a Stonemont too and we’re working on that. Thank you for all of your encouragement to us who are working toward the goal to prepare well to live well.

You and your family have done well. I enjoy your videos. That said we are all trying to better ourselves. Not everyone has the finances to prepare for that. But I do believe we will do the best we can.

A good place to start is to clean up your space. Clear out junk and clutter and rearrange things to make more space.
As you take each step, the next will present itself.
Make room for preps even though you dont know how or when you will get them.
He is right. Quit being glum and get your butt in gear.

I have to be very selective how I spend. At 62 with disabilities, I lost my healthcare job because I wouldn't take the jab. Smaller pension because I was only in for 15 years. It's a situation...

Thanks Steve! Your videos make a difference.
I just want you to know how much we appreciate your input about the current times. With so many of us across this country thinking the same way and doing what we can to prepare, I believe, in the run, many of us will endure and get through it all. And, be better for it.
Thanks again Steve!

To me, no debt and having extra income equals freedom. I learned that at a young age, so I have spent my entire life since I was 16 avoiding borrowing money "from anyone". For 30+ years I've been living on only what I have in my bank account. If I didn't have enough money for the life I visioned or things I needed, I improved my skills and learned new things to make more money with goals in mind.. $ is freedom living in society, debt is slavery. Even to this day I am continuously learning and gaining new skills. I never complain, I just adapt. The world is in a continuous cycle of change, and we need to change and adapt with it.

Exciting times. In the midst of an electrical outage. All the sudden there is a loud boom and all the fire alarms started.

Maybe a transformer.
