I always loved the 14's the most, the monocular was so useful in so many different situations where I needed to be able to use my non-NVG eye for stuff ...and the form factor was WAY better than the others lol.

So the nvgs the army gives us now i think are the best option out there because of the cool little gadgets we have built into them like being able to adjust brightness the thermal overlay and built in compass makes a worlds difference from the years we had to use those fucken pvs-14’s we had

I get it, federal budget don’t care and it’s further tip of the spear.

But my Rutgers don’t think that these are that cool or important, buy ammo and practice.

I get why they spent the money but for the rest of us why? Why would you spend 50K ( career fields aside where you would need these) on NVG's for something that will never happen? Literally sitting in a case occasionally show them off and hoping for a civil war. No shade folks on those that do that but seriously why?
