I’m an amateur photographer and I loved my dedicated cameras, but the question people have here isn’t which takes better pictures for the value. The question is “is getting a camera in my budget worth it when I already have or will have this phone.”

Well to all those saying a camera cant make a call or play game on it… after spending 134$ for the camera you still have over thousand bucks to get a decent phone that can do it all… so say 134$ for the camera set and 400-500$ for a phone.. still well under 1000$

Bought a mint condition sony nex c3 for $180. along with a 18-55mm kit lens, two batteries, charger, lens hood and cap, a proprietary flash, a freaking original sony camera pouch thats very rare to find, all for around 180 bucks. My brother on the other hand bought a Galaxy S23 for $1800 and i tell you when i try taking photos with it i was blown away. Also it only comes with a cable...even when it lacks the accessory, phones dominate in every other aspect unlike back then when smartphone camera quality is pretty much laughable. The only reason you wanted to buy an old mirrorless camera from 10 years ago over a modern smartphone that's more capable when it comes to image and video quality, is that it's just very fun to shoot with it.

It’s hard to fight the laws of nature. Photographic computing can do a lot, but at some point a larger sensor, high quality lenses, and the dramatic increase in light information win out.

lmao the comments don't get the point. A lot of people buy iphone just because of the CAMERA. And if you want to text your friends, just use a cheaper phone lmao. The $1500 phone is ABSOLUTELY not worth it.
