I made them Saturday and they were AWESOME! Next time I make them, I'm going to kick them up a notch by adding a bit more sugar and a little heat from some Huy Fong Chili-Garlic sauce... I'm an ex-Navy Electrician and I work with 4 Filipino ex-Navy electricians. When I told them I made this dish, they ALL quizzed me on the Adobo ingredients to see if I really knew it!!! LOL.... I have to admit, it is authentic... Thanks for a great recipe...

Yes! Finally a home made adobo recipe that tastes perfect! I can ditch the instant adobo powder now. My husband approves and I can't wait to make it again. The rice wine (I used mirim) and fish sauce are a good idea and made such a difference. Thank you we are big fans of your channel, Seonkyoung!

Hi, Seonkyoung! I made this for the first time, tonight, for my family. My wife is filipino and her parents live with us, as well. When my wife tasted this dish, she raised both eyebrows and nodded a couple of times. That, from her, is the same as giving me a Michelin Star rating. She loved it and cheated on her "no-rice diet" to have more. It was a bit salty, but I think a tad more brown sugar can fix that for my taste buds. This is now my favorite version of adobo, even better than my wife's. Thanks!
