The D.R. Congo has a huge lake (Lake Tanganyika) on its eastern border. A lot of fishing goes on there, although not seafood it's still fish.

You’ve got to consider the amount of meat eaten, not just type. DRC probably eats very little meat, but when they do it’s fish.

I didn't know India is eating more seafood. I am from Assam, so fresh water fish, crab, shrimp, eel, snail, etc are easily available, but it's very hard to find anything other than chicken or mutton in Punjab, where I am studying right now. Fish and pork is really hard to find in Punjab, and even when it's available the quality isn't the best.

Bro, you've never heard of the Congo basin. The two biggest rivers in Africa flow through Congo and tons of lakes, including the second biggest lake by volume of water Lake Tanganyika. Not all things called seafood comes from the sea
