i read about udims and that they would help me to paint over multiple UVs in substance. so i just searched and got your video again!

while learning 3D i had lots of specific questions and always found a short from you, explaining it in a few seconds, thank you 😊

So what's the benefit? More resolution instead of stretching a uv over a 10k texture?

I have a car that I have a variety of textures on some are 512 some are 1, 024 somewhere 2048 how do I easily convert these to one udim texture

Awesome as always. I have a small doubt. In traditional UV mapping, we often try to find a spot where the seams won't be visible but the concept of UDIM is to split many islands especially when seams are in middle of the deforming objects like face.

Will it create Artifacts like Glitching when rendering or animating. Sorry about the long question. Just I am working on a personal project and it is a human. So the answer will help me a lot. Thanks in Advance. 😎✌️.

I know this video is 3+ yrs old but do you know if there is a way to export udim uv layouts for painting in photoshop etc. i can only export the first tile so ive been moving everything to that tile, exporting it then moving it back!

What about exporting back into blender? How do you connect the individual tiles?

I hope they add a way of checking the UDIM size of a texture. Right now there is no way of checking this easily as far as I can tell.
