Yes, I know the freezer trick……. But one of my favorite trickles is to hang the garment on a hanger outside. Either in the sun or shade on a breezy day. Nothing like fresh air ❤️

Vodka + Water in a Spray Bottle. It's how we do it for costumes in theatre :) Many costumes can't be washed or dry cleaned. Works wonders. No chemicals or 'cover up' scents involved (and nothing smells like vodka). I use it at home too. Easiest option out there (imo)

Hanging my stuff out on the clothes line all day on a fine breezy day seems to work. Especially damp bath towels. Thanks for all the tips. will certainly give them a try out less dry cleaning.

Another idea is to use Natures Miracle skunk odor remover in your wash. Yes, found this when my big dog would try to play with the skunks on our property. Use a capful in any load of washable clothes and will remove any mildewy or old clothes smell from your clothes. It neutralizes and not a perfume cover up. It’s a bio-enzyme and stops the odor. It’s great to use on your bedsheets and towels too.

I too have heard the freezer trick. I use the fabric spray. Great video!

I'll have to try some of these. I've always felt bad about this, because I struggled with mental health stuff for a long time, and many things, including laundry piled up.... And I was worried I would have to get rid of so much clothing. Other searches I did said that if you clothes still smell after washing or using an oxy-clean type thing, then you would NEVER get the smell out. I truly hope that's not the case!

I cant find the comment, but someone suggested borax and oxyclean. And it WORKED! Let them soak a while before finishing the wash cycle. Im so glad i saved my clothes! Hope this helps someone.

You talked about stinking clothes, and I was just happy for the video, it took my mind off the past couple of weeks since I had a unwelcome visitor in my hometown IAN.

Vinegar! If I leave a load in the washer too long… usually because I forgot about it…I simply rewash the load on a quick cycle with vinegar as my “soap”. Works every time!

Purchased a lot of scarves from an estate sale to resell. After I got home I noticed the smell, so I washed them, and now they are hanging outside. I pray it works because it is over 100 scarves and no room in the freezer.

This was very informative. I didn’t know some of the ways. I have a steamer, but I usually just spray what I want to wear with the Downey wrinkle release, and put whatever it is in the bathroom when I take a shower. So the steam from the shower will help with the wrinkles. I knew the freezer one. I have never tried it. I know if you put your jeans in the freezer when you take them out, you can wear them a few more times without washing them.

My dryer has a steam fresh and sanitize option. Works wonders on pillows.

For the freezer method should you wash the cloths then put it in the freezer or put the cloths just like that?

Fresh air is my first go-to. Especially if the air is cool and there's a good breeze.

As we speak, I have a 100% wool second hand coat in the freezer 😂 it really works and also kills bacterias, moths and their eggs if there are any, you never know with second hand…

I have heard of the freezer to put your clothes when they stink also the vodka and water is another good one and using white vinegar in your laundry works well too.

I love all your videos, but the scientist in me needs to say it. Freezing clothes will kill some bacteria but many will survive and repopulate after clothes are back from the freezer. In the lab, we keep our bacteria’s frozen, so we know they will grow back. I do see how clothes may smell refreshed after the freezer time, but the bacterials load is just paused not eliminated. But as long as they feel fresh enjoy wear it one more time, I guess it ok:))😊

HI, hanging the garment in the sun is a very good option.
