One common thread I notice in all of these options is the need for a replacement regime. No matter which option is chosen (except the first, because at that point everybody's dead), you still need something to fill the vacuum. For a nation like Korea, whose traditional culture is partially built around Confucianism and rigid social/family hierarchy, perhaps a constitutional monarchy with a limited political mandate (just enough veto power to make things interesting, let's say), enforcing a strict national policy of armed neutrality. You would basically be turning Korea into the Switzerland or Monaco of Asia. Everybody and their mom starts opening bank accounts there, you have a hereditary dynasty in place to provide a replacement for the Kim family mythology and devotion, but more importantly than that, you get that much-needed stability you may not get from a completely elected system.
