I lost my dad, mom, my older brother, and grandfather in 3 years. Then I decided life's short and I deserve my dreams. Bought my S1K for my birthday

They are for hardened veteran squids, who want to go 190mph instead of 150mph with a 600 on the highway

Yammie Noob I am 72 and I ride a v4 Tuono, a superduke GT and a ducati 1198. In my 40's I rode Goldwings etc. Now I like the acceleration and the torque rolling out of a corner.

I’m 60 years old. I have two 1000cc gixxers. One for the street and one for the track. The extra power makes so I don’t have to work so hard. I can be lazy:)

Big bikes are fun to ride. Very fast, powerful and just cool.
At 67 I have a ZX14R and a C-14. Rode the ZX-14R for 1400 miles on a trip last month. Was relatively comfortable for a sport bike and had a blast.

58 yrs old, lifetime rider. Had the litre bikes just like Noob says. Now I got the MT-09-SP AND a Ninja 400 (both 2023)

My first liter bike was an 84 FJ1100. Next was a 97 YZF1000. I've been on a ZX-10R since 2013. Next up, H2.

5:15 "most people live lives of quiet desperation". Nailed it, that's why on the car industry, SUVs took over normal cars

I am a 38 yo and just got this beautiful Triumph Thruxton RS Chrome Edition. I used to ride super sport motorcycles in the past, they were relatively cheap, good looking and fun, but I don't think that's me anymore. I really don't care about being the lead rider in my new 1200cc Triumph, I just like the looks, sound and the torque.

As a 51 year old rider, you nailed it. My first liter was a 2000 CBR929, then a 2006 FZ1 because my body was starting to ache from dirt bike wrecks. I still have the FZ1 but would get a SuperDuke GT if I could spare the funds. RIP liter bike.

I guess I'm the exception. I'm 60 years old and ride a 2022 bought new in 22 GSXR 750. It's my last hooray and will ride it until I can't! I'm still in shape and able to carve the mountain curves. Sure it has limits as far as long rides in the comfort department, but I don't care. I'm going out with a bang! One day I may have to sell it and find something more comfortable, but not until I decide that I'm ready. As for now, I still am enjoying the thrill! It is so much better than my old Kawasaki 1997 ZX7R that I bought new back in the day. That thing was heavy! My bike is now sub 400 lbs. Lots of mods. And more to come. It's my drug of choice! You are only as old as you think you are! Stay young in your mind and stay in shape and you will be able to do more than you think!

Yammie hit a lot of great points. Money is tight. I'm 45 and I have a naked 750. Perfect do all bike. And I do sometimes hit 140 mph on an open country road. But I've always been frugal. A $6000 city motorcycle is perfect for most people. I don't adventure ride. I don't highway ride. I'm just a normal dad working a normal job. Also I'm a certified motorcycle mechanic. My bike is easy to maintenance. Also a big plus. It saves me thousands of dollars in the long run.

For me in the UK a liter bike really doesn't interest me cause there's nowhere to use it all. motorways have tonnes of traffic or camaras and all the other roads are fun twisties you don't need a big bike to enjoy. I find the low down torque and 0-60 time so much more fun than going 190+mph

I have a preference for big engine bikes for a different reason (I've been riding for 37 years and never exceed 100mph anymore) - I love torque. I love being able to pass 2 semi trucks without even having to downshift. I love how much less shifting is involved. I love being able absolutely smoke cars and have the motor sound like I'm just putting around. I love the overkill.

As a Liter Bike rider, absolutely NOBODY (including myself)
Should have one of these absurd machines on the street.
There’s no good reason to have one.
Maybe that’s why I LOVE THEM
😂

Given how I ride my 750cc, I'd be scared to get a liter bike.

This is quite literally what's happening. I recently bought my dream bike ( 2015 yamaha r6. ) and loved every minute of it. Until someone decided to go around me and push me into the shoulder on his way back into the lane. Ended up hitting a patch of gravel and low sided her. I'm trying to rebuild it but it's expensive and I don't have alot of free time to work on it for hrs on end. I've been thinking about just selling what I've got left but. I can't. I love this bike so much. And it's all just so frustrating. But it's whatever ig. I'll get it working again.
