This has actually convinced me to go for a 1000-SX instead of a ZX10r.. thank you Yam

I’ve had 14 bikes over the last 45 years. Third one was my first litre bike. Buy them and ride the shit out of em while your body can fold up like a pretzel. Over the years I worked my way down in cc. Now my Tuono 660 factory is all this 64 yr old needs. Lol

More power ! I am 61 years old, have been riding for 45 years and and still dreaming of a used H2SX SE. My Concours 14 has been great for 10 years, but I still want to have some fun. Thank you for your very entertaining videos. Ride safe.

I’m all about the pure liter bike lifestyle (2020zx10). I’m so used to it doesn’t even feel like a crotch rocket to me anymore. Also the occasional track day makes it all worth it

You are right. My 1000 is uncomfortable, will never utilize 5 of the 6 gears, to much power for anyone on a bike. Love it though!

I’ve been riding since 1977 and have owned about 20 bikes but my fav of them all is my 2004 GSXR600 which I find perfect for the street. I love the riding position because it keeps your core strong if you do it right as well as the power band. It’s more then anyone could ever need on the road. My 2nd fav is the 1985 RZ350. I guess you could say I’m the oldest squid ever 😂

Liter bikes are somewhat like a Hellcat engine compared to a BMW M3 engine. I personally like how most liter bikes tend to be not as “high strung” compared to 750’s and 600’s. My Bimota YB6 EXUP (has a FZR1000 engine) cruises at only 3000 rpm at typical highway speeds.

I tried an Aprilia Tuono V4 a few weeks ago and I was left in absolute awe of the machine. It lifted my front wheel in 230 kph in 5th... I immediately wanted one, but honestly, riding my KTM 790 Duke lets me use all the gears and is super quick and agile, it's absolutely made for twisties. I love going into a curve and quick-shifting down 2 gears to stay in the proper revs, feeling the rear wheel move a little, etc. I feel like the Tuono would just feel too much of a bike for the twisty roads I love to do. Like I wouldn't need another gear, wouldn't matter what riding mode I'm in, whatever. It's just too refined. But I absolutely get why people have them. And this is not even a proper sports bike.

I just got my first litre bike after a decade on two different ZX636R´s. I bought a KTM super duke 990. which is a 999cc V Twin. I gotta say, Im in freaking love with this bike. I bought a 2005 model which has no bells and whistles, no fancy ride modes or ABS, just pure raw old school biking goodness. Its just as nimble in the twisties as the 636's Ive owned but at high speeds is somewhat terrifying. 100mph really feels like 100mph as the wind drag is something that you dont get with the aerodynamics of the sport bikes. Also it purrs like a kitten at 70mph on the highway. Im in freaking love.

I like speed just as well, but I prefer street rides over track, so about 600cc is the limit for my pleasure ride on the road 😊

I went from my CBR500R to a 2008 CBR1000RR… quite a difference but at the end of the day, a bike is a bike - litre bikes just pull in any gear and some people want that rather than having to rev out a smaller engine.

I’ve had plenty of miles on both a 600rr and fz1. They both have a special place in my heart. Between the two (or modern day equivalent) I would go with something like the 1000sx. Power is easily accessible. And the riding position is a little more friendly for the street.

Going from a ST675R to a full size 2019 Suzuki Katana I can attest that litre bikes are on another level. After riding it for about three months I took a friend’s triple for a ride and it felt like riding a bicycle. Truly scary stuff man.

I jumped straight to a liter bike with no previous riding experience. No dirt bikes no four wheelers. After a month I was bored, started upgrading. Moore Mafia Flash, Akrapovic full system, Carbon smith velocity stacks, Graves block offs, Brock’s ceramic bearings, -1 -1 sprockets 520 RK 1200 chain. Only owned it for a year with 16.8k miles. You can start on a bigger bike if you understand an respect what it can do

Been rockin my s1000 for over a decade now. Still love it. I do want the handlebar warmers and cruise control. That 4k vibration cuts right into my bones.
