How much you want to bet he's talked with Ukraine about if he gets in power they can deal with him? I mean, they're halfway to Moscow already. Russia likely has NOTHING they can truly put in their way if it's really 25k combat troops with equipment and leadership. I doubt even soldiers pulled off the frontline would fight with them. It reminds me of end days of the Roman Republic. Private armies coming to fight each other, sometimes they do, sometimes they just band together and turn around. Marching on the capital, dictating to the authority etc. Rostov is literally the central hub for supplying all of Southern Ukraine.
